You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST/F-18 AIRCRAFT PRODUCTION PLANNER in the COMMANDER FLEET READINESS CENTERS, PRODUCTION GROUP of COMFLTREADCEN.
Duties
You will lead innovative efforts and integrate results into the aircraft outyear production planning functional areas to include meeting Production to Plan, Induction to Plan and Turn-around Time goals.
You will assist with strategy development and monitoring, assisting, and verifying aircraft production processes, procedures, and policies.
You will identify difficult issues and constraints, remove barriers, and formulate procedures for improving aircraft maintenance processes, and practices and formulate outyear strategic production planning.
You will develop briefing materials for COMFRC, communicate effectively both in oral and in written form and be able to brief mid and executive level leadership in order to support strategic decision making.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties:
Analyzing and resolving difficult issues and problems involving depot processes, work methods, data management and depot maintenance cost, and performance and schedule;
Assisting in conducting studies and developing plans using a disciplined and comprehensive approach in assessing feasibility, cost, time, and readiness impact;
Developing processes and procedures to implement projects and initiatives;
Reviewing historical and current workload standards (WLS), material standards, and cost requirements to justify pricing issues or concerns; and
Interpret and define long-range implication of Integrated Product Support matters (e.g. the impact of major system design modifications on life cycle support, shifts in strategic planning, or unexpected cuts in defense appropriations
