About the Position: These positions are located at Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, IL (ACC-RI). The U.S. Army Contracting Command was established on March 14,2008. The mission of the Army Contracting Command is to oversee more than $85 billion in contracts annually and focus on maintaining and improving the Army's ability to respond globally in support of the warfighter's needs.

Duties

Serves as the government purchasing card specialist/program manager responsible for establishing and maintaining accountability of all property. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements through the Command and Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) Responsible for the procurement of standard and non-standard supplies, equipment, and furniture as required by the Center. Develops product support strategy in a life cycle sustainment plan. Maintains continuous liaison with concerned personnel to fully coordinate pertinent information relative to assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Developing logistics support documents and plans that address all the principal integrated product support elements of total life-cycle planning; (2) Integrating maintenance program requirements with the mission; (3) Managing equipment inventoryto validate accountability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Maintenance Planning and ManagementProduct Support ManagementSupply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement. Education cannot be substituted for experience.
