You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in the FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS (FFR) PROGRAM, UNACCOMPANIED HOUSING (UH) PROGRAM of NAVSTA.
Duties
You will coordinate maintenance, repair, or other work required to ensure facilities are maintained
You will process routine assignments and terminations of accompanied or unaccompanied housing.
You will implement guidance for energy consumption in unaccompanied housing to reduce the amount of energy used.
You will advise management on housing issues and concerns in order to provide suitable resolutions that comply with governing housing regulations and procedures.
You will develop housing reports and correspondence regarding the availability of housing units (e.g., eligibility lists, waiting lists for housing applicants, justifications, daily administrative memos) for support of the housing program.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following types of duties:1) Providing information via telephone, email and in person on a variety of subjects relating to unaccompanied housing for military personnel; 2) Ensuring proper record keeping in the Unaccompanied Housing Module (UHM) of enterprise Military Housing (eMH); 3) Coordinating with Facilities Management Specialist (FMS) to ensure timely completion of berthing maintenance projects; and 4) Inspecting rooms for cleanliness, appearance and maintenance discrepancies routinely determine if procedures are being followed. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
