About the Position: This position is with US Army National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, NGB-J1, Manpower and Personnel Directorate, Arlington, VA.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Analyze personnel well-being policies that assure effective and equitable use of Army National Guard assets.
Provide guidance in the selection and/or development of appropriate tools, methodologies, and techniques required to perform assigned policy and program analysis, with an emphasis on developing policies and programs that meet requirements.
Propose corrective action for the improvement of personnel well-being processes at all levels, and across all functional areas involved or impacted.
Establish, implement, and maintain an Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) in coordination with HQDA and installation EFMP components for active duty sponsors of family members who have impairments/disabilities.
Develop an EFMP command information and education program for use at the state level to target audiences and within the ARNG Directorate.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
