You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Power and Energy Systems Division (JXM), Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department (JX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $128,043).

Duties

You will serve as the Senior Lead Technician (SLT) within the Printed Circuit Technology Branch and support a variety of technologies for printed circuit boards (PCBs), assemblies, and foster the development of branch personnel. You will provide technical and program support expertise to aid in development and sustainment of new or improved systems or equipment. You will review and provide guidance on all the execution technical and programmatic documentation (to include program plans, standard operating procedures, supplemental documents, test plans, and drawing packages). You will provide input for labor aspects of cost estimates for incoming workload, based on historical outcomes and changes to testing processes. You will maintain the laboratory Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), to ensure all tasks are completed correctly, safely, and timely per customer requirements, and oversight of test completion finalizing asset staging and location for disposal/storage.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing technical engineering methods and procedures to provide technical direction on the assessment, research, or testing of electronic circuits and components to develop and sustain systems or equipment for power or energy systems in support of circuit technologies.
