Duties

You will receive assignments and projects and assign to individuals and groups. You will ensure adequate materials and tools are available to accomplish the job. You will open, close, and submit supply requisitions for materials, equipment and tools, as required. You will ensure high quality work standards are met and that an efficient, economical, and safe work environment is maintained. You will ensure proper accountability and inventory of all materials, tools, and equipment as they are being issued and returned. You will provide the team with needed/required procedures, policies, written instructions, directives, tech manuals, materials, and tools necessary to accomplish the job. You will check on work progress and ensure compliance to higher-level instruction, set procedures, methods, and deadlines. You will ensure team members are following safety rules and polices and make regular inspections of the work area to ensure good housekeeping practices are being observed and maintained.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You must be able to climb, push, pull, crawl, kneel, work in a prone or awkward position, lift and carry over 40 pounds.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver?s license.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position requires exposure to high noise levels.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• You will be exposed to moving equipment and work with heavy equipment that may be hazardous and could result in the following injuries: bruises, cuts, burns, and dermatitis.
• You will operate equipment that will expose you to hot exhaust, fumes, and gases.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.
