Duties

As the capability experiment analyst plans, designs, and coordinates capability experiments for O/O concepts that support conceptual, constructive and live examination requirements and events. Prepares detailed reports of experiment findings to support team recommendations and conclusions. Serves as either a team member or lead for the conduct of experiment operations, collection of data, and coordinates the efforts of the experimentation team.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty travel is required up to 50% of the time.
  • Incumbent must possess or obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1. developing concepts for integration of warfighting experimentation, 2. analyzing problems to formulate solutions, and 3. drafting experiment plans to include study issues, pattern of analysis, or data collection management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Creativity and InnovationModeling and SimulationOrganizational AwarenessOrganizational Performance AnalysisPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
