You will serve as a Office Manager/Senior Office Manager in the Research & Development Group, Spectrum Warfare Dept, Electronic Attack Systems Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will receive visitors and phone calls; determines the nature of the requests and direct visitors/callers to appropriate personnel or personally provide the information desired when routine office procedural matters are involved. You will maintain individual appointment calendars for staff personnel. You will prepare and process travel orders. You will make all necessary provisions (i.e., transportation and hotel arrangements) in the Defense Travel System (DTS). You will receive, review, and process corresponding travel claims. You will maintain travel order files and travel calendar. You will receive and review correspondence in accordance with standard procedures and security regulations. You will prepare reports, presentations, graphs, and charts from various resource documents.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1)Answering and screening phone calls, and taking messages; 2)Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications; 3)Routing memos; 4)Sorting mail; 5)Preparing and reviewing correspondence and reports for proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and format; and 6)Executing travel arrangements and process travel orders and vouchers. For GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized Experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1)Answering and screening phone calls, and taking messages; 2)Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications; 3)Routing memos; and 4)Sorting mail.
