About the Position: This position is within the ILSC, Industrial Base Operations and Maintenance Integration Directorate (IBOMID), Organic Industrial Base (OIB) Directorate and serves as Logistics Management Specialist for TACOM.
Duties
Focal point for handling issues and proposals that cross organization functional lines and provides analysis involving forecasting effects on a long-term basis.
Develops strategies and innovative methods to extract and compile maintenance program data from full spectrum of automated sources to create informational tools to support management decisions regarding proactive program adjustments
Performs broad and complex studies and analysis of logistics processes, policy and procedural issues, or proposals related to Depot/Arsenal enterprise operations and their interrelationships with the LCMC structure
Works with multiple TACOM activities to ensure supply assets are made available to the Depots to meet established production schedules.
Analyzes and reports the overall tracking and management of the Depot Maintenance Line Stoppers to include coordination with supply sources for resolving the shortage of repair parts needed to complete maintenance programs.
Collects information from various sources, analyzes and reports the execution of maintenance program data for current, target and outyear programs.
Conducts, leads or participates in inter-organizational working groups, conferences or program reviews to represent the LCMC and industrial base interests and policies.
Provides leadership or membership to review boards and committees for process streamlining and issue root cause identification and resolution.
Translates analysis into overall policy proposals and incorporates them into business planning efforts.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Must be willing and able to travel 25 percent for business.

To qualify applicants must possess on one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-12. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
