About the Position:
This position is located in Alexandria, VA in the Office of the Director Equal Employment Opportunity Programs Disability and Affirmative Employment Programs.
Duties
Performs a wide range of duties to ensure the effectiveness of Affirmative Employment and Selective Placement programs and practices within the DoDEA, to include the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP).
Prepares reports on behalf of the agency, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Management Directive (MD) 715 report and DoD requests for information (RFls).
Process request for reasonable accommodations (RA), in accordance with internal agency policy and EEOC enforcement guidance for reasonable accommodation, specific to providing Reasonable Accommodations in the Federal Sector.
Provides guidance based on analysis of reasonable accommodations (RA) request, reviews case files, determining need for supporting documentation and assist management officials with implementation of approved accommodation, when appropriate.
Works closely with the internal Equal Employment Opportunity Program (EEOP) Operations Branch to ensure financial and contract obligations, pertaining to the agency wide disability program are met.
Is the primary liaison with the FEEOP internal Forward Integrated Support Team (FIST) members of the branch for Special Emphasis Programs and when financial or business operations issues arise.
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Manages Federal Affirmative Employment Programs, Special Emphasis Programs at the agency level, including but not limited to those for disability, women, African-Americans, Asian Pacific Islanders, and Native Americans.; Reviews and develops special emphasis and affirmative program policy; Coordinates and drafts the agency's annual MD 715 and other affirmative employment reports working with stakeholders; Manages Federal Reasonable Accommodations within their assigned region, including (RA) processing cases on behalf of employees and applicants, working directly with management officials, and providing guidance and training; Manages a Federal Selective Placement Program, including the Workforce Recruitment Program and works extensively with both the Schedule A and disabled veteran special hiring authorities.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
