This position is an excellent launch-point for an experienced employment lawyer or EEO professional who wants to be exposed to the highest levels of agency management and hone skills necessary to become a director of EEO within the federal sector. The selectee will work on projects including revitalizing our ADR program, increasing representation of individuals with disabilities, promoting SES diversity, and ensuring timely, high-quality EEO counseling and complaint processing.

This position is eligible for maximum telework per agency and business unit discretion/policy.
This position is the Deputy Director of the Office of EEO & Diversity at the USPTO.

For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience performing and leading the determination process of equal employment opportunity complaints consistent with the requirements of anti-employment discrimination statutes, the regulations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and federal sector caselaw;
Experience performing and leading the processing of requests for reasonable accommodation consistent with the requirements of anti-employment discrimination statutes, the regulations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and federal sector caselaw;
Experience performing and leading diversity, equity and inclusion programs;
Experience managing or leading a team in an Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity environment.
