About the Position: This position is located at Fort Moore, GA. Fort Moore is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia, and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking are available.

Duties

Lead the Installation Operations Center Crisis Action Team during all crisis operations requiring installation staff activation which includes multiple organizations. Formulate the proper course of action pertinent to the real world or exercise scenario in operation to ensure the Installation?s response plan is the most efficient plan of action. Inform the Division Chief regarding program progress, resolution of problems, or to secure information to execute special contingency operations. Advise personnel such as the commander, directors, operating officials and staff on matters of mutual concern pertinent to execution of sensitive operational missions. Provide for the planning of logistical and support requirements to support deployment, force protection, and disaster support missions. Coordinate with garrison management officials as well as higher authority for long range planning and development of emergency/contingency operations and resolution of problem areas. Evaluate work performance of subordinate employees through formal and informal performance appraisal processes. Develop installation peacetime contingency planning and exercises such as deployment, force protection, disaster, and emergency preparedness plans as well as a variety of sensitive classified and unclassified operations plans. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates through subordinate supervisors and team leaders. Formulate policies to enhance installation contingency planning, such as the deployment, force protection, disaster, and emergency preparedness programs. Serve as the subject matter expert for "safe haven" operations for the evacuation of off-post department of defense (DOD) evacuees while coordinating the installation staff in such missions.

Requirements

  • The work of this position requires on-site/field visits where the incumbent may encounter all types of weather conditions and moderate physical activity such as prolonged standing and walking.
  • In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Under crisis operations, tour of duty may expand work hours, to a 7-day workweek, and extended duty days may be required.
  • The work of this position requires on-site/field visits where the incumbent may encounter all types of weather conditions and moderate physical activity such as prolonged standing and walking.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
