Duties
You will direct a team of personnel responsible for performing spill response activities.
The incumbent works directly with the Navy On-Scene Coordinator Representative to ensure consistency and effectiveness of all spill response programs.
You will assist stakeholders as necessary, in matters related to general environmental support for various actions, to include but not limited to
construction planning, construction, operational training, environmental and conservation actions.
You will implement Facility Response Plans (FRP), Integrated Contingency Plans (ICP), and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Applying established principles, concepts, and methods of environmental protection program work performing a variety of duties involving the management, coordination, monitoring, oversight, or evaluation of routine programs, projects or activities.
Providing routine technical assistance to operating personnel and managers in regard to environmental programs and projects.
Evaluating environmental programs for compliance with Federal, State and local laws and statutes.
Analyzing technical information to identify and solve problems.
Applying new developments in environmental program principles to major pollution and emergency response issues not susceptible to resolution by standard methods.
