This position will be assigned to Ticket and Tours on JBSA Lackland . This is a Regular Part Time category position, with 20-34 guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hours per week. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a Regular Part Time category position with benefits.
Duties
Sells over the counter and internet sales of tickets of local and national theme park and attraction tickets, and takes reservations for tours. Sells tickets through the Ticket Master system. Provides information on local amusements and general tourist information. Responsible for and maintains personal allotment of tickets, orders tickets from management, maintains daily ticket log to maintain accountability. Collects money through cash, check and charges. Issues receipt for all sales. Prepares daily individual Cashier's Report. Job involves attention to detail and multi- tasking in a very busy environment. Completes end of month inventory of personal tickets. May be asked to perform as a tour escort for instate and out of state tours by accompanying the group, acting as guide, insures transportation and reservations are in order and accounts for passengers to ensure a successful trip. This operation is seasonal so hours/schedules may vary throughout the year. Works under supervision of Information, Tickets and Travel Manager who provides guidance when performing new or procedurally complex duties. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination. Must be able to lift objects weight 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience as a cashier and cash handling in the customer service industry, working directly with customers in person.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): You qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the San Antonio area and experience in local tourism industry is preferred. Job requires multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
2. Applicant must have effective communications, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Applicant must be able to handle multiple job related tasks concurrently.
3. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
