Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As an Administrative Officer, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the office of Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Serving as the principal advisor to the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE) Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and senior staff on all phases of the administrative management of H-CORE, which requires exceptionally broad vision and skillful problem-solving ability.
Overseeing the implementation of a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE).
Serving as focal point for administrative policy and procedures in H-CORE, analyzing, reviewing, and appraising operations to stimulate management improvement, and provides administrative direction for H-CORE programs.
Representing the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE) on various task groups and ad hoc committees and confers with top management officials of ASPR on management issues that affect the Agency.
Participating in ASPR-wide activities and serving on ASPR staff committees and participates with other Executive Officers in formulating ASPR-wide policy. Serving as the H-CORE representative at the ASPR Executive Officer meetings.
Overseeing all administrative management matters associated with the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE) programs and operations. Overseeing the analysis of organizational priorities and the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures for H-CORE.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service performing three (3) of the following:
1- Evaluating and making recommendations on issues impacting administrative and human resources operations;
2- Interpreting administrative and human resources policies and guidelines to provide technical advice and assistance;
3- Writing decision papers and correspondence to provide guidance, assistance, and recommendations to management officials;
4- Presenting data, reports, and proposals for administrative and human resources programs; or
5- Advising management officials on matters of business, budget, implementation, execution, and change.
