About the Position: Serves as technical advisor to the Chief, Human Resources in the management and administration of all aspects of the military personnel management program in a jointly staffed environment for all officer and enlisted personnel, Troop Command, 959th Medical AF, and Warrior Transition Battalion assigned to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) Located at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.
Duties
Plans and coordinates the formulation of SAMMC policies and programs for personnel management actions and programs.
Determine work priorities and assigns work to employees based on selective consideration of such factors as difficulty/requirements of assignments, available resources, and the capabilities and/or special qualifications of employees.
Performs supervisory roles for subordinate DA Civilian employees.
Provides guidance, interpretations and/or training on current and proposed policies to a wide variety of individuals, managers, and key
officials.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes, recruiting operations planning and coordinating experience; experience monitoring and managing production mission and operational production; experience with operational efforts for mission areas; experience with preparing and providing production analysis and statistics; determines production priorities and assigning work to employees; provides advice, guidance, and assistance to the recruiting force; resolve recruiting operations policy matters; planning recruitment objectives and goals; utilizes military personnel database systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
