You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the LEARNING STANDARDS DEPARTMENT of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will analyze effectiveness of training to recommend alternatives or changes. You will advise school staff and instructors on curriculum related matters. You will operate or maintain computer programs or databases for research, educational programs, or educational analysis. You will create course effectiveness evaluations for operational curriculum and courseware.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying training methods, techniques and tools in order to maintain training courses and materials, evaluate training programs, and/or complete special projects; 2) Using advanced instructor skills for training and evaluating instructors on technique; 3) Utilizing instructional technology such as Interactive courseware, video and virtual distance training, and computer based training to determine best alternative for delivery of training; and 4) Evaluating and measuring student progress, providing counseling and/or special instruction, and determining action required to resolve the status of marginal students. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related
