About the Position: Serves as a Regional and/or Crisis Planner and technical logistics expert for the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) and develops program policy, monitors operations, and manages the Management Decision Evaluation Package for the LOGCAP.

Duties

Evaluate Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) operations consisting of different types of contracting capability to support deployed forces during contingency operations. Provide technical guidance to develop logistics initiatives for LOGCAP synchronization efforts. Develop organizational information criteria to measure the effectiveness of Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) functions and capabilities. Identify Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) status to present logistic program briefings to senior personnel. Develop peacetime plans to support contingency operations by identifying contractor capability prior to deployments. Provide technical and operational guidance on program status, problem areas, operations resources, and training requirements to improve programs. Review logistics readiness sustainment reports to resolve problem areas. Conduct assessment of LOGCAP mission and customer support and measures functional and organizational capabilities to identify program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • The incumbent may also be required to participate in exercises and training scenarios to better prepare them for such environment.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 40?lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is designated as Emergency-Essential; the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations.
  • This position has been designated as Key and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization.
  • The incumbent must be free of any health or medical condition that would prevent the employee from performing duties under austere conditions.

Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years.
