Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique equipment, parts, and supplies.

Duties

Manages, schedules, and conducts physical inventories for a broad range of supply and equipment items at various warehouse storage locations. Performs a variety of technical and database support duties related to inventories. Maintains property accounts and records, completes individual transactions, providing customer assistance, screening references files, conducting data searches and distributing output files. Provide assistance to customers. Responds to visitor and telephone inquiries on base supply inventory problems and issues. Preforms general clerical support work and advanced office automation functions and supply databases software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other documents.

  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise

  • Employee may be required to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver?s license may be required for this position
  • Preforms additional duties as required
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis
  • May be required to complete Nuclear War Reserve Material (NWRM) Fundamental training course annually or as required per AFU 20-110, Chapter 9
  • This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the (CONT'D)
  • (CONT'D) mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968
  • Work may require local travel to various warehouse locations on Patrick SFB and/or Cape Canaveral SFS to perform duties

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-I, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of inventory procedures; ability to conduct extensive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex base supply transactions. Knowledge of supply operations, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods, and of policies and procedures for storing supplies and equipment. Knowledge of word processing and database software functions; skill in typing-a qualified typist is required. Knowledge of database entry and processing of base supply transactions in an automated supply system (i.e., Intergraded Logistics Systems (IL-S), Enterprise Solution-System (ES-S), Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS), Discoverer and Supply Asset Tracking System (SATS)). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of inventory procedures; ability to conduct extensive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex base supply transactions. Knowledge of supply operations, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods, and of policies and procedures for storing supplies and equipment. Knowledge of word processing and database software functions; skill in typing-a qualified typist is required. Knowledge of database entry and processing of base supply transactions in an automated supply system (i.e., Intergraded Logistics Systems (IL-S), Enterprise Solution-System (ES-S), Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS), Discoverer and Supply Asset Tracking System (SATS)). Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
