Purpose of position provides supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organizations mission.
Duties
Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, to other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
Determines stock level needed for non0recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
Prepares recurring and special reports. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Position, Supply Clerical and Technician Series 2005.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, instructions, techniques, work methods, supply functions and operations, reference material, and program requirements for performing such duties as requisitioning and issuing equipment and/or parts, and bench stock procedures and processing. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in various automated supply systems. Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures. Knowledge of base supply data content and output options for a variety of administrative, scientific and/or technical program applications that are processed on any of several multi-program operating systems.

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, instructions, techniques, work methods, supply functions and operations, reference material, and program requirements for performing such duties as requisitioning and issuing equipment and/or parts, and bench stock procedures and processing.
Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in various automated supply systems.
Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.
Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
Knowledge of base supply data content and output options for a variety of administrative, scientific and/or technical program applications that are processed on any of several multi-program operating systems.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
