Duties

Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized supply items based on usage, inventory, project demand, seasonal demand, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. Conduct extensive and exhaustive research of catalog information to locate more cost effective, available substitutes and new products. Identify and resolve discrepancies for urgent, critical shortage items requiring specialized procedures and efforts. Use an automated system to input screening requests to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers. Perform document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position may require the incumbent to work during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
