The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique equipment, parts, and supplies.
Duties
Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
Determines stock levels for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
Performs property accountability and management. Reconciles property records balances using property inventory balances.
Performs document control work involved in processing supply transactions. Edits documents for urgent, critical shortage items or other items requiring special handling. Identifies errors/omissions and takes appropriate action, (e.g., contracts requester, researches technical publications, etc.).
Provides assistance to customers, storage depots, or other organizations. Responds to visitor and telephone inquiries on supply problems and issues. Furnishes information within time frames that meet customer needs.
Performs general clerical support work. Maintains and annotates files with minimal errors providing for easy and timely retrieval/location of material.

- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.

- Employee may be required to participate in contingency situations, both real world and exercise
- Employee may be required to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license may be required for this position
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.

- May be required to complete Nuclear War Reserve Material (NWRM) Fundamental training course annually or as required per AFU 20-110, Chapter 9
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Supply Clerical and Technician Series 2005
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-II, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-05 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include Actively contributes as a team member; takes initiative to accomplish assigned projects. Identifies and pursues individual/team development opportunities. Consults and coordinates with others to complete projects within established guidelines, assuming ownership of personal processes and products. Identifies and resolves non-routine technical problems utilizing established patterns or methods. Adapts existing plans and techniques to fit new situations. Plans and conducts technical activities for projects

EDUCATION: 4 years above high school
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of governing supply regulations and functions, procedures, instructions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
2. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.
3. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material ,such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
4. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
5. Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
