About the Position: This position is located with the 45TH Medical Group, Patrcik Air Force Base, FL.

Duties

Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures. Provide supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Enter data in multiple databases. Prepare recurring status reports. Determine and establishes new procedures needed to accommodate unique program requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing research to resolve supply errors; taking supply inventory or editing supply requisitions; and utilizing an automated database system or software program to prepare documents or reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Supply Inventory ManagementSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6).
