You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist in the Naval Air Systems Command, Command Operations Department, Human Capital Division, Staffing and Classification Branch of FLTREADCEN EAST.
A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
Duties
You will analyze recruitment processes to assure quality and consistency in the administration of a recruitment program.
You will respond to customer inquiries by researching data from a human resources information system (e.g., Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS] or similar system).
You will build personnel records in a human resources information system (e.g., the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS], Onboarding).
You will advise managers on hiring strategies and compensation flexibilities.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as; 1) Provide guidance and assistance to management and employees on human resources issues 2) Advise management on position management principles; 3) Provide a wide range of staffing duties include providing advice and guidance to manager on appropriate recruitment sources, hiring flexibilities, and methods; 4) Provide staffing customer service to managers and employees; 5) Apply effective application of salary and wage directives.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as; 1) Experience with handling personnel actions and understanding the differences in types of actions 2) Assist in advising management on position management principles; 3) Provide a wide range of staffing duties include providing advice and guidance to employees on applying for jobs, personnel policies procedures, etc. 4) Provide staffing customer service to employees; 5) Research and resolve minor pay/personnel issues such as erroneous within range increases, incorrect personnel actions, etc.
