About the Position: Plans and coordinates short- and long-range assessments and plans that deal with Command cyber requirements. Performs a variety of functions in a staff management environment for Joint Munitions Command (JMC), Chief Information Officer (CIO), and G-6/Information Management (IM).
Duties
Serves as the organizational Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for Joint Munitions Command and subordinates.
Leads the Cyber Security team in planning, evaluating, and applying best practices, policies, and regulations across functional areas.
Determines and reviews guidance, regulations, and protocol with system owners to define computer/network/cyber security scope, requirements, and compliance.
Provides technical advice and assistance concerning Command cyber requirements for mission accomplishment.
Performs highly technical and analytical work pertaining to the planning, budgeting, development, integration, utilization, or modification of information systems, facilities, procedures, and accreditations.
Develops performance work statement (PWS) objectives in concert with the Cyber Security, Enterprise Computing Division Chiefs, and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and provides technical advice and assistance for mission accomplishment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 20% of the time.
- This position requires professional certification under DOD Directive 8570.1, Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management.
- Selectee must obtain the highest Career Category Level of certification in the assigned Career Category/Functional Area.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management- Practitioner certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is a Drug Testing position, due to requirements of Top-Secret security clearance.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Unless specifically granted a position waiver by the Director of Acquisition Career Management or the Army Acquisition Executive the following requirements are mandated: **
- **Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
