This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Finance (FN), Financial Systems Section (FNS).
This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as a Financial Management Systems Specialist which is within the Financial Systems Section (FNS). This position is responsible for supporting activities related to the use of DEA's financial systems.

As a Financial Management Systems Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Provides technical front-line assistance to DEA users in several financial management systems/applications.
Develops and maintains a variety of system documentation and guidance (e.g., Desk reference guides, Job aids, Newsletters and bulleting's) to address financial system application issues, processes, and enhancements.
Performs system and regression testing.
Develops requirements for reports and applications to supplement financial business processes.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
Specialized Experience: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level you are applying for.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To be considered for the position, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
GS-12:
Experience:You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as: assisting with system testing, documentation and communications support for financial management operations; providing help desk support; analyzing financial reporting and application systems; reviewing systems documents related to financial and acquisitions management.
GS-13:
Experience:You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as: performing system testing, documentation and communications support for financial management operations; providing help desk support to financial management users; analyzing, designing and testing financial reporting and application systems; developing systems documents related to financial and acquisitions management.
