About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Tank - Automotive & Armaments Command, Program Manager Light Armored Vehicles Office (PM LAV) in Warren, MI. PM LAV is a U.S. Marine Corps Board Select 0-6 program staffed by Department of Army Acquisition Professionals. The Program Office is a direct support to the Marine Corps Program Executive Office Land Systems. This office performs all acquisition functions for life cycle support.
Duties
Develop integrated logistics support plans which address all the principal elements of total life-cycle planning for assigned program.
Monitor the logistics support analysis program to assure definition of support criteria and identification of support systems requirements.
Assure availability of logistics support information required to coordinate and develop material fielding plans, fielding agreements with users and other long and short range planning documents.
Develop/coordinate contract scopes of work for logistics support, with maintenance and supply, from concept through production.
Direct participating NICP/NMP managers to take specific actions related to ensuring full support for deployed and/or deploying system/subsystems.
Reviews Army Materiel Planning documents for both overhaul/rebuild and new procurements and/or redistribution of available assets.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in the Acquisition Career Field L - LIFE CYCLE LOGISTICS within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience:
In order to qualify for this position based on experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) level in the Federal Service that includes the ability to: (1) Provide logistic support during all phases of the acquisition life cycle for one or more major complex vehicle systems; (2) Execute logistics plans to assure integration of logistics elements (i.e. acquisition and production, comptroller, technical/product assurance); (3) Monitor program execution and contractor performance to assure compliance with milestones and contract terms; (4) Coordinate logistics activities for vehicles under project/product management to effectively issue and track material requisitions in support of fielding and production; (5) Identify and resolve complex problems to lessen the impact on cost, schedule, performance and/or other logistics support requirements; and (6) Resolve customer supply issues through knowledge and utilization of DoD automated logistics systems such as LMP (processing Materiel Release Orders, purchase requisitions and checking stock availability), I2Log (demand history, demand history, and materiel consumption rates).
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
