About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade Log Readiness Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Duties
Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) with the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) in the Support Operations (SPO), Installation Logistics Division (ILD).
Responsible for preparation of logistics operations, contingency, emergency and mobilizations plans for the serviced installation.
Assist in planning and coordinating recurring studies in the development, review, and analysis of logistics facets of or pertaining to contingency, emergency, mobilization plans and operations
Present results and recommendations to the supervisor. Initiates approved improvement plan both during and following exercises/operations.
Maintain liaison and coordination with other directorates, AFSBn staff and local officials on development and activation of plans. Compiles staff estimates and assists in planning through Military Decision Making Process (MDMP).
Review mobility planning impact. Provides input to the Installation Deployment Support Plan (IDSP).
Inform supervisor of program progress and resolution of problems.
Assist with identifying personnel manning and equipment
Reviews status report and capacity shortfalls, and suggests alternate course of action to mitigate risk.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes conduct exercises designed to test the adequacy of existing plans; and prepare and conduct logistical studies involving comparative analysis. Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management field(s) of study.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
