About the Position: The position is located in the US Army, Integrated Logistics Support Center. The ILSC provides full service logistics support to the U.S. Army's most important weapon system, the Soldier. You will function as a Matrix Supervisor in the The Program Executive Office, Ground Combat Systems on the Stryker Brigade Combat Team. The PEO GCS is responsible for providing world-class affordable, relevant and sustainable ground combat vehicles to Joint Warfighters.

Duties

Serves as first-line supervisor providing technical direction and leadership to a multi-functional workforce, with civilian grades through the GS-13 level. Executes administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to branch missions and functions. Evaluates the effectiveness of assigned programs/weapon systems and materiel, assuring support of field and higher echelon customers exceed expectations. Programs and conducts maintenance evaluations, evaluating engineering change proposals, preparing/revising technical publications, and evaluating Equipment Improvement Recommendations Responsible for the organization's property accountability hand receipt. Assures timely, and effective accomplishment of the logistics functions including determining maintenance support requirements, provisioning, distribution and funds management, and requirements determination. Provides advice, counsel, and instruction.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 30% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Assuring effective accomplishment of the program's logistical functions such as, program requirements determination, provisioning, distribution and funds management, and determining maintenance support requirements; AND 2) Managing acquisition program control over vehicle system(s) and/or commodity area(s) encompassing the major items and secondary end items; AND 3) Providing advice, mentoring, guidance, and/or work review for newer employees/interns; AND 4) Organizing and conducting meetings at appropriate levels to clarify program objectives and provide periodic progress to leadership. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
