Duties

You will perform related technical duties for the assigned program related to test planning, execution, data analysis, and reporting test results. You will plan lab and test scenarios to support activities of program systems. You will assess safety hazards and mitigates risk in testing. You will participate in test planning and execution of laboratory test events to ensure decision quality test data is collected and available for analysis, and all activities adhere to the NAVAIR 3960 instruction.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-03 (GS-9/11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Supports real-time and post mission data collection to report against test requirements. 2. Supports test programs to assess the performance of systems concepts against requirements. 3. Interfaces with other government agencies and work with contractors on program to assure that the Navy's interests are met. 4. Supports any test crew activities such as lab checks, test equipment management and installation, data recording, test asset and resource coordination, and maintain all required qualifications to fulfill these duties. 5. Develops and maintains test data collection assets, movement of assets, running equipment during test, and troubleshooting.
