About the Position: This is an administrative position that performs a wide variety of administrative duties. Position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, Construction Division, located at Wright Patterson AFB, in Ohio. Duties

Prepare a wide variety of documents forms and correspondence relative to contract changes and claims. Prepare and transmit monthly pay estimates from complied information. Maintains record files in accordance with proper regulations. Responsible for the review and preparation of travel requests. Serves as timekeeper.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee is responsible for observing all safety rules, regulations, and directives applicable to work assignment and the Resident Office.
  • This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.

Specialized Experience: For GS-05, Target position is full performance of GS-06: Utilizing various computer systems to access, input, track and maintain information; preparing various forms, correspondence, memorandums and reports following guides and regulations which prescribe the proper format for correct preparation; maintaining a record keeping system, performing mail distribution, and coordinating copier services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). Specialized Experience: For GS-06: performing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining contract files/records; making travel arrangements; serve as timekeeping, and complete weekly reports This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalComputer LiteracyManages and Organizes InformationOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
