The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the primary administrative support for the Directorate of Engineering and Technical Management, Resources Division (HQ AFMC/ENR). Incumbent interfaces with GS-15s and SES, (DV-5/two-star equivalent), as well as other high level officials on a regular basis.
Duties
Duty 1: Responsible for directorate administrative support. Incumbent has overall responsibility for division correspondence control, to include all incoming and outgoing mail and message traffic. Establishes and maintains appropriate division suspense files to ensure action is taken in a timely manner. Composes clear, concise correspondence in an effort to provide adequate information addressing common requests or questions.
Duty 2: Serves as the Directorate Equipment Custodian (EC), Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) Manager and the Information Assurance Officer (IAO). Accountable for all assigned IT hardware assets in their equipment account and will perform, at a minimum, an annual physical inventory of all items. Responsible for conducting inventories when directed by the Equipment Custodian Office (ECO).
Duty 3: Directorate's Government Purchase Card (GPC) Manager and Facilities Monitor. Serves as the primary Directorate's Government Purchase Card (GPC) Manager, working with the Directorate's Financial Management Specialist on budget allocations prioritizing and preparing justifications for equipment and supplies.
Duty 4: Serves as EN's Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS), the Safety and Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Managers. Provides payroll customer service to EN directorate employees and matrixed staff who are assigned to four additional directorates. Communicates with the payroll office on the employee's behalf, to initiate inquiries and resolve problems pertaining to the individual's pay and/or leave.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-07 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in performing a variety of administrative duties such as, managing suspense programs, maintenance of equipment accountability, office budget management, administering a safety and health program and customer service representative for the civilian pay system. Experience may also include administering the defense travel program, and the electronic resources.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and format to accurately prepare and expertly edit written correspondence, reports and transcribed material.
Thorough knowledge of regulations governing the use of the GPC Card and budgetary management.
Knowledge of policies and procedures of audit programs and various reports.
Knowledge of the AFMC suspense/correspondence tracking system (TMT).
Knowledge of organizational structure, mission, processes and policies.
Knowledge of procedures and policies governing supply, budget and emergency management to assist in the review, validation and submission of a wide range of documents, reports and training.
Knowledge of word processing automation software functions to support office operations and ability to instruct and train users to produce a variety of textual documents, such as letters, reports and memos.
Skill in performing arithmetic computations and ability to prepare and maintain a variety of budget records.
Ability to plan, interpret/organize work based on facts and requirements to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
