About the Position: This position serves as the Mission Training Complex (MTC) Supply Management Team Lead for the Supply Section, providing leadership and assistance to other personnel. Position is located on Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is co-located in Fayetteville, North Carolina a culturally diverse city centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Serves as Supply Section Chief for planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing all supply operations at the Mission Training Complex MTC. Participates in Control Configuration Board Meetings, and the testing and evaluation of developments and changes to the logistics system. Responsible for property book functions to include equipment authorizations. Responsible for analysis, documentation, development course of actions, and evaluation of all MTC supply requirements. Supervises the development and management of Supply actions for Mission Command (MC) classified and unclassified training exercise and events. Service as the primary PBO hand receipt holder, signs for and manages MTC property book consisting of Sensitive and Non-sensitive line items.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

  • This position is designated Key. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Key duties until relieved by proper authority.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) developing, planning and conducting studies pertaining to supply program functions to improve the organization by expanding services and consolidate supply functions to streamline services offered; and 2) analyzing statistical data and reports to determine whether objectives and logistical program requirements have been met; and 3) conduct quality assurance inspections accountability of overall property and supplies, equipment management inventory and scheduling maintenance support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Operations and Supply Chain Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementOrganizational AwarenessSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
