About the Position: Serves as a Supply Management Specialist for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Coordinates property book supply functions and monitors a staff of subordinate employees and augmentees, involved in operating the Command's Consolidated Property Book Office. Manages the logistics program and supervises the providing of supply services to the operating level functions of the Command and serviced activities. Represents the Command in meetings and conferences at HQDA, other major command and subordinate commands. Provides detailed guidance to ACOM’s and staff on rewriting of policies, Memorandum of Instruction (MOI), Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and SOP’s as required for the classified community. Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the global operations of the Consolidated Property Book Division and the Command's supply and logistics management program.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This position requires travel and temporary duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations possibly for extended periods of time in hostile environments. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships and vehicles.
  • Subject to short notice recall. Must reside within normal commuting distance of Fort Liberty.
  • Position requires a pre-employment physical.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
