The incumbent serves as the Chief Technology Innovation and Strategy Officer (DS) within the Deputy Chief Workforce and Strategy organization (D).
Primary duties of this position include the facilitation and coordination in the development of agency and business unit strategies, performance measures and multi-year targets, and work products while incorporating the application of new and emerging technologies, systems, and actions to support BPA's strategic business objectives.
Duties
As a Chief Technology Innovation and Strategy Officer, you will:
Set policy for the Chief Technology Innovation and Strategy Office in such areas as determining program emphasis and operating guidelines.
Exercise delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual and longer-range work plans and schedules for in-service and contracted work.
Recommend and implement changes in the structure of the organization managed, operating cost, and key positions, including the particular changes to be affected.
Assess the impact of agency program efforts on the Technology Innovation and Strategy Program, BPA business lines, other government entities, and the private sector.
Lead in the planning and facilitation of agency-level strategic planning sessions and special executive sessions to develop and refine agency long-term strategic direction.
Develop direction and coordination of technology innovation and initiatives, consistent with strategic objectives, in anticipation of, or in response to, developments affecting BPA and the electric power industry.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service.
Specialize experience is defined as: Leading, overseeing, and administering the development, planning, administration, and implementation of programs and systems necessary to drive the development and execution of enterprise strategy, technology innovation, across a utility enterprise.
