This position is located in the State office of the State Conservationist in Gainesville, FL, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the designated state leadership team. The position conducts detailed analyses of functions, processes, and data pertaining to the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of administrative programs and work operations in the state.

Duties

Analyzes administrative programs functions, processes, and data to determine the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of programs and work operations in the State. Maintains a process to track, analyze and report access control management.

Requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled (e.g., one year at the GS-09 grade level for consideration for the GS-11 grade level). In addition to meeting one of the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement in order to be considered: Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience must include performing duties in support of a variety of business operations, administrative services, human resources, and/or management support programs and functions (e.g. leasing, information technology, procurement, purchasing, agreements, access control, training); Gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues and/or participating in activities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in support of organizational program objectives; and using automated systems and databases to accomplish work activities, prepare spreadsheets, manipulate data and produce analysis reports and spreadsheets.. Examples of specialized experience include: Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience for the GS-11 grade level: 3 year(s) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph. D. or equivalent graduate degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Psychology, Public Administration, Human Resources. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).; OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of graduate-level education and experience, as described above, may be used to qualify for this position. This combination must have equipped you with the necessary knowledge and/or experience to successfully perform the duties of this position.
