About the Position: This Public Affairs Specialist position is located at HQ CECOM, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD
CECOM is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NH-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-12, Step 01 to GS-13, Step 05 and the salary will be set no higher than $126,949.
Duties
Develops and executes strategic communications campaigns and communication strategies through the production of communication tools, including print, visual, web-based, multimedia and video materials.
Reviews, provides input, and edits significant, high visibility communication documents for publication.
Plans, designs, develops and executes graphic imagery/multimedia products and services for presentations, special briefings, publications, exhibits, static boards and charts, posters and displays using electronic, mechanical or manual processes.
Assists with responding to news media inquiries-including national print and electronic media and provides information in a variety of formats.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position requires up to 15% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience equivalent to the NH02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes:
(1) Interpreting program polices to develop public affairs plans to support programs and events; AND
(2) Managing the organization's public affairs program to promote understanding or improve communication with internal and external audiences; AND
(3) Developing, editing, researching and/or proofreading a variety of multimedia formats for the organization; AND
(4) Updating content an organizations website.
