About the Position: Serve as a Public Affairs Specialist for Headquarters, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC), Public Affairs and Marketing Office. Serve as the lead responsible for developing and managing a global strategic Community Relations/Marketing Program for the Army's worldwide, felony-level criminal investigative organization.
Duties
Develop and execute comprehensive public relations/marketing activities that ensure the achievement of goals and objectives within the command.
Provide guidance on event planning, public appearances and interactions while managing the command display program to include determining the need for information and support materials required for command representation at events.
Research, assemble, write and disseminate sensitive, critical and often complex information for the public, to include the national and international media, on a wide variety of law enforcement topics in support of the command?s mission.
Assure information is released in accordance with guidelines and meets time constraints and deadlines.
Serve as the lead Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and the office manager/advisor for all existing and future contracts as well as supply and property accounts assigned to the Public Affairs Office.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: develop and execute public relations/marketing activities for a felony-level criminal investigative organization; provide technical assistance with the command's news media and information programs; and provide guidance on highly visible, sensitive public affairs issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
