You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

You will serve as a Team Lead, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), and cyber security (INFOSEC) subject matter expert (SME) in the Intelligence Operations Division. You will oversee Information Technology (IT) efforts involving cyber security and information assurance in support of the Command's Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) security programs. You will work with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the assignment and utilization of resources to meet mission needs for the Division's IT/cyber security taskings, requirements, actions, and initiatives. You will develop, implement, and evaluate information systems security and cyber security policy/programs in accordance with ICD, DoD, NISPOM, NIST, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and PHO policies in support of SCI and SAP operations. You will lead internal audits and compliance inspections of SAP and SCI security programs.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Systems Security Analyst level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to theNT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying Information Technology (IT) security principles to monitor and evaluate systems' compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
