You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of CARDEROCK DIV NS. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13/14.

Duties

You will provide administrative management services essential to the successful operation of the Division, comprised of more than 250 Naval Architects, Engineers, Program Managers, and Program Analysts. You will develop and refine processes, policies and regulations associated with the various aspects of the Personnel Demonstration systems, position management, training and personnel actions. You will supervise Division administrative assistants, directly overseeing their assignments. You will help Division managers comply with Navy policy/procedures regarding personnel, travel, security, time, and teleworking. You will advise to all levels of the organization concerning financial management, human resources and administrative management. You will develop and refine administrative processes associated with timekeeping, training, arranging conferences and conference attendance, personnel actions, and daily support to division personnel. You will assist Division managers comply with Navy policy/procedures regarding personnel, travel, security, time, and teleworking. You will be the Administrative Officer for the Naval Architecture and Engineering Division, Code 84.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; providing analytical support to an organization's mission through project planning, operational support, personnel hiring or resource allocation.
