About the Position: This position is located with the I Corps Senior CDR AUG, G-8 Resource Management Program & Budget Division, on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

Duties

Serve as a Budget Analyst in the I Corps/Army Senior Commander?s Mission Support Staff (MSS) G8, Program and Budget Division. Perform full range of budget analysis, including formulation, justification, presentation, and execution for those Major Subordinate Commands (MSC) assigned, aligned or attached to I Corps as well as the Corps Staff Principles? budget. Utilize Army Financial Management systems to include the General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS), Defense Travel System (DTS), and the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) for assigned units.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Incumbent may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Financial Management Level 2 Certification is required within two years of employment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance or Accounting. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
