You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Operations Department, Scheduling Branch, Non-Nuclear Scheduling Section of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will ensure the proper sequencing and integration of work between various events, milestones, and test in support of non-nuclear multi-level schedules.. You will review technical instructions, job summaries, and other data provided by the shipyard and non shipyard organizations. You will prepare, issues, and maintain shipyard schedules for assigned ships or projects. You will review work identified by work packages to ensure all work is logically sequenced and scheduled.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with overhaul and repair of a wide variety of complex types of non-nuclear shipboard equipment, and systems. Experience planning and scheduling of projects to accommodate non-programmed workload. Experience with inputting and retrieving data from a database as well as daily use of automated and computerized scheduling tools. Experience with reading and understanding design, plans computer generated graphs and reports/information from ship checks.
