You will serve as a Production Controller in the Production Resources Department (Code 900), Production Workforce Development and Resource Manager (900B), Production Resources Manager (900R) Operations and Support Branch (Code 900 R.I) located at the NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will direct the resource/manning utilizations and planning effort for all shop or project personnel. You will conduct both long and short-range planning and evaluation to provide decision makers with a basis to make decisions regarding manning readiness and work preparedness from a shipyard perspective. you will research and investigate new or improved business management practices from application to organizational programs or operations. You will provide ongoing leadership continuity and perform a variety of requirements for budget, manpower, material, facilities and services necessary to support the Production Resources Department and its subordinate elements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing the Work Packaging Function; Experience providing customer service dealing with accepting or rejecting work, scheduling work, material handling and conducting risk assessments; Experience working across organizational lines with diverse entities to ensure project completion; Experience identifying requirements and provide leadership for complex nuclear and interface work; Experience with human resource management and data collection; Experience demonstrating the use administrative tools for data management, report writing, dashboard creation, and querying.
