About the Position: This position is located within the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Office of the Chief of Staff, G3 Plans Office at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Conduct long-range planning to meet future objectives, goals, and/or requirements of the organizational mission.
Act as advisor to higher level organizational staff on aspects of planning and/or policy during reviews of organizational operations.
Develop organizational timetables and/or milestones for mission accomplishment.
Utilize web-based collaborative tools such as e-mail, online collaboration tools, computer networks, whiteboards, bulletin board systems, chat lines, online presentation tools, etc., in the performance of assigned duties.
Plan multiple events simultaneously for higher level audiences.
Coordinate higher level schedules and/or calendars in planning events.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent of this position must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: performing project management, research, planning and analyses of programs and processes that influence organization improvements; developing strategic short/long term plans, policies and procedures; and coordinating strategic business planning efforts among multiple and complex support program segments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
