Duties

Testing and documenting new and existing systems and applications used in the management of security assistance programs. Performs tests of applications and processes, documents errors and system defects. Assists application users on all logistics and financial systems. Reviews accuracy of system data to determine effectiveness of program to ensure requirements are being processed correctly.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Position requires employee to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Position requires employee to obtain certification at Basic level in Security Cooperation Case Life Cycle Management (AOC) within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

This position is a TERM not to exceed 13 months, with provisions to extend up to eight years with provisions to be made permanent without further competition. To be eligible for conversion to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment, you must have: - completed at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service. - demonstrate successful job performance. Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Specialized experience is experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: assisting in managing and preparing assigned ammunition programs; obtaining cost or availability to ensure ammunition commitments to external customers are met; utilizing Logistics Management systems and Web-based enterprise resource planning system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Specialized experience is experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: performing technical reviews of requests to determine materiel and/or services required; Identifies system deficiencies and enhancements to the automated process.; coordinating with project managers and/or program managers to identify specific ammunition and related services/training needs for potential customers; monitoring the availability, funding, and delivery of ammunition using related support systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below.
