The primary purpose of this position is to serve as 453d Electronic Warfare Squadron Chief of Security to protect and provide oversight to the 453 EWS collateral missions as the Unit Security Manager (USM) and its Advanced Programs (AP) Special Mission Enterprise as the Government Special Access Program (SAP) Security Officer (GSSO).
Duties
Implements and administers a Security Program for Special Access Programs (SAP) within the 453 EWS and as designated by the Secretary of Defense.
Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security program.
Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program. Interprets AF, DOD, and national regulations and laws for Personnel Security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization.
Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization. Uses comprehensive knowledge of the integrated organization's mission to advise the commander and or involved parties on security facilities/equipment/alarm installation, maintenance, and use.
Administers the Special Access Industrial Security Program and Security Education & Traning Awareness.

Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. Work Statement and Performance Level

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of security program relationships, and expertise in communications, information, physical, personnel, and industrial security. Assisting in key decision-making and policy developing responsibilities in difficult and complex situations
Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices and ability to present clear, concise, complete, accurate and timely classroom and OJT training.
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, basic budget and resource management policies, principles and practices.
Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately; ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
Ability to plan and carry out reviews of unit and/or contractor special access security programs, analyze and evaluate reports and conditions to recommend remedial actions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Asset Protection Professional
Certification, conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
Mission Essential: This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. Ref: AFI36-129, dated 17 May 2019
This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee must meet or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements applicable to the career category designated on the position description within 24 months of assignment or secure an approved waiver. The employee must meet 80 hours of continuous learning requirements within the designated timeframe.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
