About the Position: Headquarters G-4, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Conducts a wide variety of assigned studies covering varied logistical requirements involving complex logistical support activities. Develops, reviews, and monitors contingency, operational and deployment plans within G4 area of interest for technical adequacy, consistency and compliance with logistical policies, procedures, directives. Analyzes and evaluates logistics studies, technical reports, and materiel developed by U.S. Army Materiel Command, various other HQDA/DOD and government agencies, and private industry. Develop methods and techniques required for program execution.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to travel up to 25% of the time on military or commercial aircraft.
  • Incumbent must maintain a state driver's license.
  • Incumbent must be able to work overtime when required.
  • 1 year trial period is required.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • TERM NTE 30 SEP 2025.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes i) Applying regulations, policies, laws and procedures which affect logistical operations and services; 2) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze logistics studies and technical reports; 3) Providing technical guidance on logistical requirements to higher and subordinate commands. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
