About the Position: You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military/OA) in the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), Brigade (BDE) Headquarters, S-1, Personnel Division to ensure that BDE Military and BDE/Battalion (BN) Civilian Human Resources (CHR) actions receive timely processing.

Duties

Processes military HR actions according to technical guidance and procedures established by SOPs and regulation. Monitors activities for actions impacting on submission of assigned efficiency reports and evaluations to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Assists in management of BDE military awards program. Serves as liaison between BDE/BNs, USAREC HQs G-1 Civilian Personnel Management Division (CPMD), and supporting Civilian Personnel Advisory Centers (CPACs).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a TDY/Travel requirement of 5%
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsHuman Resources ManagementPersonnel Action Processing and RecordkeepingPersonnel and Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
