About the Position: Kimbrough is the headquarters of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC), Fort George G. Meade, includes a number of U.S. Army health clinics, occupational health clinics, telemedicine, behavioral health, allergen extract lab, drug testing labs, and environmental health clinics at several installations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, & District of Columbia. Kimbrough provides primary care, selected specialty care & same day surgery for TRICARE Prime patients.
Duties
Utilize several military personnel database systems to update, maintain, and manipulate information and to ensure the most current and accurate information is available in the systems.
Manages the Military Personnel Information Management/Records Program of the Military Personnel System
Composes and types correspondence into final form which requires reference to regulations, related correspondence, precedents, and guides pertinent to the area of military personnel administration

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Performing administrative support functions such as preparing and processing personnel actions, and using automated system to process actions, obtaining and maintain data; 2) Reviewing military personnel actions to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance, provide guidance to subordinate units on personnel management; 3) Applying military personnel principles, concepts, legal requirements or methodology to gather facts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
