About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician for the Installation Stock Record Account at the Pine Bluff Arsenal in the Directorate of Material Management, Inventory Management Division. Assists higher graded specialists and lower graded technicians in mission accomplishment.
Duties
Update databases.
Use data to respond to variety of customer, program review and vendor inquiries.
Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing.
Perform research to determine reasons for patterns.
Use a thorough knowledge of supply regulations and policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Incumbent must maintain AA and E security certification/screening IAW AR 190-11

Specialized Experience: GS-05
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Maintaining of a variety of automated and manual records, reports, and documents for an office; 2) Assisting with physical inventories to help identify and correct discrepancies; AND 3) Comparing data to assure consistency and accuracy.
OR
Education: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience: GS-07
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Establishing of a variety of automated and manual records, reports, and documents for an office; 2) Assisting with physical inventories to help identify and correct discrepancies; 3) Performing research to determine reasons for patterns ; AND 4) Utilizing regulations, policies and/or procedures to ensure supply support for various parts and supplies.
OR
Education: Successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management or Business Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
